Americas Triathlon

El pasado fin de semana se estuvo llevando a cabo una nueva Copa Continental de triatlón donde la sede para esta ocasión fue Calima, Colombia. El evento contó con una gran variedad de triatletas de más de diez países distintos. Los grandes campeones del evento en esta oportunidad fueron, el joven Sullivan Middaugh de Estados Unidos y Raquel Solis Guerro de Costa Rica.

En la categoría Elite Men, Estados Unidos dominó y se hizo de las medallas de oro y plata. Sullivan Middaugh fue el primero en pasar por la línea de meta a los 00:57:06 de carrera y de esta manera se hizo del primer lugar y medalla de oro. En segunda posición llegó su compatriota Keller Norland quién ganó medalla de playa y en tercer lugar cerró el podio obteniendo medalla de bronce el colombiano Hugo Ruiz.

Por su parte, en la división femenina Elite Women, la ganadora fue Raquel Solis Guerro de Costa Rica. La triatleta tica logró culminar el circuito en un tiempo de 01:06:35 y con este resultado se hizo de la medalla de oro. El segundo lugar y medalla de plata fueron para Marlen Abigail Aguilar de Guatemala. En tercera posición y cerrando el podio femenino se ubicó la venezolana Rosa Elena Martínez.

De esta manera se cerró la Americas Triathlon Cup Calima 2024. Felicitamos a los ganadores y a todos los triatletas que formaron parte de una nueva Copa Continental de Triatlón.

2024 Americas Triathlon Cup Calima

Last weekend a new Continental Triathlon Cup was taking place where the venue for this occasion was Calima, Colombia. The event featured a wide variety of triathletes from more than ten different countries. The great champions of the event on this occasion were the young Sullivan Middaugh from the United States and Raquel Solis Guerro from Costa Rica.

In the Elite Men category, the United States dominated and won the gold and silver medals. Sullivan Middaugh was the first to cross the finish line at 00:57:06 of the race and thus took first place and the gold medal. In second position came his compatriot Keller Norland who won the beach medal and in third place the Colombian Hugo Ruiz closed the podium, obtaining a bronze medal.

For its part, in the Elite Women division, the winner was Raquel Solis Guerro from Costa Rica. The Costa Rican triathlete managed to complete the circuit in a time of 01:06:35 and with this result she won the gold medal. Second place and silver medal went to Marlen Abigail Aguilar from Guatemala. In third position and closing the women's podium was Rosa Elena Martínez from Venezuela.
